About Dr. Elizabeth Guthrie

Dr. Elizabeth Guthrie is a clinical herbalist and certified aromatherapist. She holds a PhD in Natural Medicine with a specialization in Naturopathic Psychology and a Master’s of Public Health with a concentration in Functional Nutrition.

She has published two books, The Trauma Informed Herbalist and Essential Oils for Trauma. She helped create research for UAB Hospital’s Integrative Medicine clinic and works as a yoga teacher and wellness practitioner.

Elizabeth’s personal experiences led her to begin studying trauma and its effects on the body and mind. Now she helps others learn how natural wellness can be safely implemented as part of a trauma recovery journey.
